I've had the same laptop since 2000. A Dell Inspiron 3000 - Pentium II 233 Mhz, 4gb disk, 144mb RAM. At this point, it was little more than a portable serial console for accessing routers. It's on its 4th battery, one of the backlights is dead, and I've replaced the keyboard two times. Well, the 3000 is at its end. I finally bought myself a new laptop - this time, from Alienware:

My SCEPTRE 22" Widescreen LCD Monitors have arrived and man, do they look awesome side-by-side. I now have a total desktop space of 3360x1050. There is absolutely no noticeable video delay when playing games or moving windows. Even though the screen size is much bigger than my former 19" CRT's, I find I have so much more space on my desk now. HD movies run in full-screen without the black bars, too! Yep, definitely worth the money.

Well, I finally did it. I jumped into the world of LCD panels. I did the research, played with them at Costco, and read tons of reviews. The verdict? I ordered two (2) Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" widescreen displays. I run dual-head both at home and at the office, which I blame Klink for introducing me to. I couldn't stand the thought of having one LCD and one CRT.
